Brand Review: Essence

If you saw my latest Brand Review of MUA products, then you know that I love to explore budget cruelty free brands on the market.

I knew about Essence for years, but never actually checked if they are cruelty free or not. It was always one of those makeup shelves I passed by without paying much attention. However, after watching Nibble's lipstick video, I was intrigued. So I purchased a few products and wanted to test them out for you.

Long Lasting Lipstick in Matt Velvet
They have an amazing range of nude brown shades, so I was more than excited to try this one out. It's really creamy, meaning, it won't last long. However, the colour payoff is brilliant and it feels moisturising on the lips. For a £1,50 lipstick, you can't really go wrong!

Eye Pencils in Black Fever and Say Hi Light
I don't use eye pencils that often, but when I do, I want them to be amazing. These 2 are pretty good! I use the Say Hi Light for my lower lash line to brighten up my eye area whenever it's a bit red and irritated. The Black Fever is ideal for tight lining my eyes, but, unfortunately, it doesn't blend that well, so no go for a dark smokey eye.

BIG Lashes triple black Mascara
I think I've found my new favourite mascara! I loved Maxfactor False Lash Effect, but they DO test on animals, so it was a no go! Big Lashes has the best brush, the product itself is not too dry, so gives me that voluminous spider lash look that I love to rock. It's also pretty easy to get off at the end of the day.
