The Makeup Tag

http://www.thisissimplyme.com/2016/07/the-makeup-tag.html

I stumbled upon Rachel's version of The Makeup Tag and I loved it so much that I had to do it myself, even though I wasn't tagged by anyone. So here goes nothing!

Do you remember your first makeup item?
Of course, it was Maybelline mascara with the pink tube and green cap. My mum was very strict and I wasn't allowed any makeup until the age of 15. When she finally gave in and allowed me to purchase one item, I knew it had to be a mascara!

Describe your perfect mascara. Have you found ''The One''?
It was False Lash Effect by LOreal, but since they test on animals, I had to give up on it. All I want my mascara to do is give me loads of volume and length. I really like Essence Volume mascara which was featured in this post.

What coverage do you like in a foundation?
Light to medium. My favourite at the moment is Superdrug CC cream in Light.

What's your favourite high-end brand?
Either NARS or Urban Decay. They are cruelty free and they also have an amazing range of colours and shades.

What cosmetics brand are you desperate to try but haven't yet?
Too Faced! I don't know why I haven't, but my next makeup purchase has to be from their counter.

Favourite drugstore brand?
Revolution or Collection. Collection does the best base makeup for an affordable price.

Do you wear fake eyelashes?
If I could put them on properly I would! It's so easy to do it on somebody else, but when it comes to myself, I'm useless. Practice makes it perfect I guess.

Is there any makeup you can't leave the house wearing?
My eyebrows. I always use either an ashy brown eyeshadow or my Sleek Brow Kit in Dark. Otherwise, I look kinda dead and weird as my eyebrow hairs are so light.

What is your most cherished beauty product?
Probably my Jeffree Star Beauty Killer palette. It's amazing and an all time favourite.

How often do you buy makeup products?
Too often! At least twice per month, but I try to stop after I've spent more than £50. I have a problem ya know.

Do you have a monthly beauty budget or spend freely?
£50 as stated above.

Do you utilise coupons. reward cards ans sales for your beauty products?
I have every beauty card available on this planet, however, I always forget to spend the points.

Which beauty product do you buy the most of?
Definitely lipstick! One can never have too many lipsticks.

Is there a brand that you really don't like?
Any of the brands that are not cruelty free - LOreal, Maybelline, MAC, Revlon, Estee Lauder and so many more!

Do you avoid certain ingredients in the cosmetics like parabens or sulphates?
I try to avoid animal ingredients as much as possible and definitely no sulphates! As natural and organic as possible.

Do you have a favourite place to shop for makeup?
Mostly Boots and Superdrug just because they are close and affordable. But online shopping is my fave as it's so fun and has more possibilities than shopping in store.

Do you like trying new skincare products or sticking to a routine?
My skin is pretty good and doesn't break out too much, so I don't mind trying out something new now and then.

What's your favourite Bath & Body brand?
Lush for bath and Soap & Glory for body.

If you could only buy from one brand, who would you pick?
I would pick Urban Decay for high end and Barry M from the budget brands.

What do you love about makeup?
How it can transform somones appearances and make someone feel empowered and amazing. Also, it's just so fun to paint my face on the weekends.

I tag Bex from BubblyBex3, Annija from The Beautiful Life and Alyssa from Alyssa's Blog. And obvs anyone else who wants to do it!
